    New Delhi (Tech Desk):- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation came to terms with the creation of a draft policy on the use of drones in India in October 2017. Now in August 2018, the government has opened doors for commercial use of Drones. Drones Regulator 1.0 has come and these rules will be applicable from December 1, 2018. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has started working on drone regulator 2.0.

    How to Get Drones Blow:- Both the owner of the drone and the pilot have to register from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation to blow the drone. The pilot will be allowed to fly the drone from the Digital Sky Platform. This automated process will accept or reject its permission by looking at some factors. It is believed that it will be made easy process. According to the new rules, drones can be flown only during the day. At the same time, the drone can be blown up to 400 feet height.


    There are three different jones to blow the drone:-

    Red Zone - No permission to blow a drone in it
    Yellow Zone- It will be allowed to fly in the fixed borders
    Green Zone- It will get automatic permissions

    Drones are divided into 5 different categories depending on weight:-

    Nano- up to 250 gms
    Micro-250 gm to 2 kg
    Small- from 2 kg to 25 kg
    Medium - from 25 Kg to 150 Kg.
    Large - more than 150 kilograms

    How much will it cost:-

    Unique Identification Number i.e. for UIN, will cost Rs. 1,000
    Issuance of permit fee of Rs 25,000
    To renew the permit, a fee of Rs 10,000 will be charged.

    The approval of the drone will be given by Directorate General Civil Aviation within 7 working days after all the necessary documents are received. Its validity will be 5 years from the date of issue. It can not be transferred. A drone pilot will not be able to control more than one drone at a time. All drone pilot insurers must be insured.
