On Monday, Dharmendra Pradhan met BJP President Amit Shah in the protest against the price of petrol diesel. The meeting lasted about one and a half hours. After the meeting, the Petroleum Ministry released a report and tried to explain that the price of oil was increased during UPA time, at the time of NDA, less time. However, the question is arising that crude oil was above the hundred dollars then. Sources of the ministry say that
- The government issued oil bonds
- Oil companies were in deficit and
- The government was also giving subsidy
- Now there is no subsidy or oil companies are in deficit.
- The prices are being fixed according to the market, but this is the question that is why the government is now not ready to give relief to the public by reducing tax.
